A new tourist office, which is located next to the Local Police office adjoining the Tenencia de Alcaldia on Calle Duquesa de Arcos, has been opened in response to a demand in the Sabinillas area for an office to handle tourist enquiries and to provide information.
The office will be open from 8 am to 2.30 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm on weekdays and from 10 am to 2 pm at weekends. Augusto Gil, the Councillor for Tourism, Promotion and Image, explained that "with this new facility we will extend the service to visitors and residents alike, to provide information and to portray the municipality in the best possible light". He went on to say that "our aim is to provide an information point in each of the main centres of population, and are currently refurbishing the old Town Hall building at the top of Calle Mar to provide a tourist office in Manilva". |
