The Manilva Town Council to organise and sponsor the 2nd Seminar of Restaurateurs
After the great success of the first edition, they are again bringing together the best and most outstanding members of the Spanish restaurant industry in a professional environment where in a friendly atmosphere of cooperation and friendship, they will be able to attend presentations, workshops, samplings of various products and to share knowledge and experiences of different techniques and products and to discuss the state of the industry and its future.
The event is the responsibility of the Councillor for Education, Culture, Promotion and Public Image, Francisco Miguel Alvarez, and conscious of the importance of this event for Manilva and its restaurants and catering industry, he has put all the available staff and his department's resources, as well as venues for this seminar and also for the annual competition for promising young chefs for which Manilva will be the host again this year.
The aforementioned councillor also expressed his “satisfaction at how well this competition was received last year and valued the knowledge that Manilva's reputation was growing in this sector which is so important for the catering industry on a touristic level and I think that it is a good way to extend gastronomic horizons which will benefit from the excellence of the food and service in the Municipality”.
One of the main events which will take place at Manilva's stand at FITUR 2006 will be the presentation for the 2nd Seminar of the Great Restaurateurs of Spain, where the Director of CIFER and the President of AJECOMA (Association of Chefs de Cuisine of Marbella) Salvador Lobato together with Francisco Miguel Alvarez will announce the event to the public.
This 2nd seminar will be enriched by the knowledge gained the year before, which was a valuable experience due to the cooperation and knowledge passed on which indicated which products and subjects were of most interest to the delegates.
The Seminar will be held in the Elba Estepona Hotel.
