List of trips and events for 2006 published
Rafael Mena, head of Manilva’s Department of EU Citizens and Foreigners,
has announced a programme of activities which are principally aimed at Manilva’s
foreign community.
This extensive programme of events, excursions, competitions and courses, is
primarily designed to satisfy the desire for closer social and cultural integration
that has been expressed by many of Manilva’s foreign residents.
The list has been compiled with the aim of giving the foreign community an
opportunity to sample some of Andalucia’s rich and varied culture and
location, whilst at the same time giving Manilva’s various nationalities
the chance to share their own traditions and culture with the Spanish community.
The Mayor, Salvador Zotano, has again emphasized the importance of making all
the local facilities and resources available to the entire community.
This programme which has been presented is expected to incorporate more activities
as the year progresses and reflects the diverse sports and cultural activities
available and amongst the listings are trips to Ronda and Malaga’s Picasso
Museum, courses in language, music and dance, the International Festival, sporting
tournaments and much more.
All these events will be publicised in the local press as well as online at
www.manilvalife.com and will also be published in a free guide.
