Improvements to the A-377 Sabinillas-Manilva Road
The Manilva Town Council is to commence works on improvements to the A-377
Sabinillas-Manilva link road from the Sabinillas roundabout up to the Tres Cruces
(three crosses) roundabout in Manilva.
The aim is to improve access and safety, both vehicular and pedestrian, between
these two population centres.
The Councillor in charge of the Public Works Department, José Benítez,
has informed us that the project aims to create a modern ‘boulevard’
which will include footpaths, gardens and parking.
This project forms part of the General Plan for improvements to the local road
network and the first phase, which should take about two and a half months and
cost about 200,000 euros, will commence in the very near future.
These improvements will provide a final solution to the poor state of this
major link and will also make the road much safer for both drivers and pedestrians.
Works to improve and upgrade the drains and sewer networks will also be undertaken
at the same time, which will cater for any future developments in this area. |
