Duquesa Marina Expansion plans

The Manilva Town Council have initiated a planning process with the aim of doubling the size of Puerto de la Duquesa's marina and increasing the number of berths from the current 328 to a total of 650.

Although still at the initial planning stage, the Mayor, Pedro Tirado is in discussions with Marinas del Mediterraneo, who own the concession for the harbour, as to how best to implement this scheme.

The project is in line with the aims of the Provincial administration in Malaga to increase the total number of berths in the Malaga province from 4,441 to 12,800 in the near future.

This will consolidate the Costa del Sol as a major centre for nautical tourism and sporting activities, which will add a new dimension for local business and leisure opportunities.
