The Manilva Town Council has opened the bidding for the contract to build a new Church and children's day-care complex in Castillo de la Duquesa. The project is expected to cost in the region of 520,000 euros.

Local population statistics published recently show yet another rise in the number of people moving to this area.

The Town Hall is now taking registrations for this year's adult sports activities. Terms run for three months and most activities cost 60€ per term for anybody registered on the Padron (if you are not on the Padron then the charge is 50€ per month! Another good reason to register).

Spanish Courses announced

The Town Hall has announced the adult Spanish language courses for this coming school year.

To register go to the Edificio Usos Multiples in Calle Miguel Delibes, Sabinillas. Courses are run over three terms and cost 60€ to people in the area who are registered on the Manilva register (Padron).

The Sports and Beaches Departments create a ‘Nautical Zone' in Sabinillas

The Councillor for Youth and Sports, Rafael Mena, in collaboration with Manilva's Beach Department, headed up by Manuel Ramos, has announced the formation of a dedicated nautical zone in Sabinillas, which during the months of August and September will offering a wide range of nautical activities and education to both residents and visitors alike.
