New Mayor Elected

New Mayor Elected

After nearly a month of confusion and uncertainty, the political landscape of Manilva has finally been resolved.

Despite an attempt by the far left coalition to gain power, things are pretty much as they were.

Salvador Zotano, who is the head of the PSOE in Manilva and who was the Councillor for Health, has been elected Mayor with the support of the PDEM, the Manilva Democratic Party. This means that, although there might be some changing of hats amongst the Councillors, things will carry on as they have in recent months.

Manilva's Mayor Arrested

Manilva's Mayor Arrested

According to the online version of Diario Sur, the Mayor of Manilva, Pedro Tirado, was detained by the National Police in connection with the Ballena Blanca investigation.

Police, whilst searching the Mayor's home, found €770,000 in cash!! The police also found 20,000 in the home of the Mayor's brother-in-law who was also detained.
