The Councillor for Education, Francisco Miguel Alvarez, in the face of a protest by the Sabinillas School's Parent's Association (AMPA) has responded by assuring them that the timescale for the programme of works established by the Education Infrastructure and Council of Education is on target to be completely fulfilled 100% according to the plan implemented by Manilva Town Council and that the new school will be open for the 15 th September.

The architect responsible for compiling Manilva's Town Planning document, Damián Quero, met last month with the Mayor, Salvador Zotano, the Councillor for Public Works, Jose Benitez, the manager of the Planning Office, Juan Herrera, the Finance Officer, Carlos Gomez, along with representatives if the ASM and IU political groups, and technicians from the Planning Office.

The Royal Advisory Commission for the Western Sahara (CORCAS) met in Manilva to outline the creation of an autonomous state as a solution to the problems of the Western Sahara

Last month there was a meeting of the Commission responsible for the drawing up of the Plan de Ordenacion del Territorio de la Costa del Sol Occidental de Malaga (POT) which is a master plan for the sustained development of the Costa del Sol west of Malaga as a whole.

Manilva's Department of Youth and Sports is set to launch its new website later this month. The Councillor responsible for this department, Rafael Mena, announced that this will provide another valuable asset to Manilva's youth and sports infrastructure.
