The Agencia Estatal de Meteorología, Spain’s Met Office, is to install a weather station in the Manilva area. Up to now the nearest station has been in Los Pedregales park in Estepona, which enjoys slightly different weather conditions due to its proximity to the Los Reales mountain. The met station will feature instruments to measure wind, precipitation, temperature, humidity and sunlight and will be set up on land adjacent to the cemetery. This station will be part of the large network of unmanned weather stations throughout the country. So at last we will have accurate figures for the weather conditions in the Manilva area. |
