Recent acts of vandalism have led the local authorities to consider the installation of a number of cctv cameras in the municipality.

Among the targets have been a number of signs including the Manilva sign on the roundabout at the junction with the Rio Manilva road and the N340 (near Lidls) and other street furniture. This not only has an economic consequence but also damages the image of the area.

The local authorities have promised to prosecute anyone caught committing such acts which carry a fine of up to 100,000 euros.
