Last Friday June 19th, UPyD (Unión Progreso y Democracia) handed over a letter addressed to the Mayoress of Manilva requiring information on the credit approved with the bank BBVA in order to pay the Town Hall's creditors. This credit is included in the measures passed by the National Government aimed at improving liquidity of entrepreneurs and firms. As such, it is guaranteed by the ICO (Official Credit Institute). According to the Town Hall, 29 debtors will benefit from this credit and over EUR 500,000 in debts will be paid. For the sake of transparency in public governance, UPyD has asked the Mayoress about the criteria followed when selecting the bank and the debtors that will benefit from this State aid and whether older debts are having preference over new ones. Further, a list with the names of the creditors selected for prompt payment has been requested.
