The Councillor for Infrastructure and Public Works, Mario Jiménez, has announced that the major project to improve the Peñoncillo road connecting Manilva Town with the coast by Pueblo Mexicano is to begin on Monday, 22nd October.
The road will be cut as from 10 am on Monday and a diversion has been created via Avenida La Paz, the road just past Mercadona that runs up to the Maicandil Primary School. The diversion signs are not very clear as of today (Saturday, 20th) but hopefully they will be more explanatory once the diversion is in place. Those affected by the diversion are people needing to access urbanización Coto Real Duquesa and the Las Viñas Secondary School. The work is expected to take about 12 months and the councillor apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused by these works. For more information about this project, see our earlier article here. |
