The Mayoress of Manilva, Antonia Muñoz, and the Councillor for Infrastructure and Public Works, Mario Jiménez, have arranged the allocation of a parcel of land of some 2,500 square metres to be set aside for construction of a public park in the area adjoining the Villa Matilde on the Sabinillas-Manilva road.
The allocation, which is due to be formalised later this month, will allow for the creation of a park with a total area of 6,000 square metres will consist of green areas, a children’s park and a central lake and fountain. The planting will be on a tropical theme, and will take the form of a botanical garden with each tree accompanied by an information plaque. The park will be financed by funds totalling 200,000 euros which were allocated by the Malaga Provincial Government in the Provincial Plan of 2006-2007. |
