The Governing body of Manilva recently signed an important agreement for the construction of 248 social housing units.

The agreement was signed between the Mayoress and Antonio Priego, President of the Property Promoter Prienesur, part of the Cajasur group. These 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units will be built in the Maicandil-Arroyo Las Uvas area between Duquesa and Manilva.

Once the project has been approved by the Junta de Andalucia, there will be an open period of 60 days during which applications can be made by those interested in purchasing one of these units, subject to fulfilling the established criteria laid down by the regional government. Priority is given to applicants who are under 35; over 50; single parent families; families who’ve been victims of domestic violence; disabled, etc.

The Mayor has stated that her government is fulfilling a commitment made in her election manifesto in providing housing for the young and underprivileged for which owning a home these days is very difficult.
