The mayoress of Manilva, Antonia Muñoz, along with the councillors for Infrastructures and Works, Mario Jiménez and the Sports Councillor, Diego Urieta, recently met with representatives of the construction company Vera y Gea 21, to discuss the progress of the Sabinillas sports complex.

The Mayoress has reported that modifications have been made to the project which will add additional costs, to that initially quoted, of some 500, 000 euros. These changes are necessary to rectify deficiencies in the original specification, such as improvements to the electical system in the swimming pool and upgrading the quality of materials.

These additional costs must be approved by a meeting of the full council in November.

In the meantime a further meeting will be held with the contractor to discuss payments pending on the project.
