Manilva’s Councillors responsible for the beaches and tourism departments, Diego Urieta and Augusto Gil, respectively, visited Seville this month to recieve three awards, on behalf of Manilva, for Tourism Quality.
Presented by the Junta de Andalucia’s Sports and Tourism Council, the awards recognise tourist initiatives and infrastructure. Manilva won awards for two of its beaches, Sabinillas and La Colonia as well as an award for Puerto de la Duquesa. The councillors were justifiably proud of the achievement receiving two of the 17 beach awards for the province; and 1 of the four marina awards. Councillor Gil was pleased that the efforts made by the council workers have been recognised, and that these awards provide encouragement and incentive to continue improvements in these areas.
