The local business association ACEMCE - Asociacion de Comerciantes y Empresarios de Manilva, Casares and Estepona will be officially launched at a party to be held on Friday, 16th May, at the Castle in Castillo de la Duquesa, Manilva.
The evening starts at 7.30 pm, with the presentation at 8.00 pm. There will be music during the evening, provided by local music society ASABAM – Agrupacion Musical de Amigos de Sabinillas as well as light refreshments. ACEMCE is also sponsoring an exhibition of art and crafts which will also be inaugurated on the same evening and will run from Monday, 19th to Wednesday, 21st May inclusive.

Refreshments will be served during the evening, and members will be available to answer your questions. About ACEMCEACEMCE seeks to provide a platform for businesses of all nationalities, reflecting the cosmopolitan nature of the commercial landscape of the area, and has a number of aims, primarily: 1. To ensure that the business community has a voice that is heard by the various authorities and agencies to enable us to put forward our views, suggestions and recommendations for the improvement of the community. 2. To actively work in helping to shape the economic prosperity of the community by: a) Education and information regarding all aspects of business through workshops, talks, a website and a quarterly magazine. b) Promotion of the area both as a tourist destination and as an ideal location for industry and commerce. c) To encourage participation by all sections of the community regardless of nationality, through designated interpreters and bilingual literature. d) By holding regular meetings and events, both business and social, the association hopes to encourage networking amongst its members. e) To serve as a contact point for interested parties wishing to invest in the area (also to actively seek out such investors). f) To negociate discounts and special arrangements for our members with suppliers of materials, products and services both inside and outside of the association 3. To form partnerships with similar organisations, both locally, nationally and overseas. 4. The association is a non-political, non-profit making body open to all businesses from the self-employed to large corporations, with each having an equal standing.
