Manilva’s Culture Department has laid on an extensive programme of events and activities for the Summer.

13th to 29th June
“Desvelo”
An exhibition of paintings by the local artist Rose Ann Victor. The theme of the exhibition is women and the world of Islam.
Villa Matilde from 10 am 2 pm and  5 pm to 9 pm

20th to 30th June
Painting Exhibition
An Exhibition of the works by students of the Municipal School of Drawing and Painting under the direction of Charo González Iglesias.
Edificio de Usos Múltiples de Sabinillas. Sala E from 9 am to 9 pm.

27th June
End of course show by students of Salsa, Ballroom, and Castanets demonstrating their skills.
At Sabora Copas from 8 pm.

30th June to 6th July
Vela Latina”
An exhibition of oil paintings by Estepona artist Federico Tomás Vera, depicting some of the most beautiful sailing vessels from merchant ships to military vessels, and fishing boats both past and present.
The Castle in Castillo de la Duquesa from 10 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm.

4th to 6th July
Childrens’ Activities in Castillo
Fun and games designed to keep the young ones occupied during the summer holidays. Games, handicrafts, facepainting, modelling, painting, etc.
Plaza Virgen del Carmen.
7 pm to 11 pm

5th July
Noche de Luna y Playa
The Culture Department have organised a programme of concerts throughout the summer. “Alegría del Pueblo” will perform traditional Batukada.
Castillo Beach.
10 pm

8th to 20th July
Photography Exhibition - “Earth, Sea and Air”
An exhibition of the works of Damián González. Photographs from around the taken during his travels.
Villa Matilde.
10 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm.

11th to 13th July
Childrens’ Activities in Manilva
Fun and games designed to keep the young ones occupied during the summer holidays. Games, handicrafts, facepainting, modelling, painting, etc.
Calle Mar in Manilva.
7 pm to 11 pm

13th July to 21st September
“Art in the Street”.
Every Sunday during the summer many local artists will exhibit on the Promenade in Sabinillas.
Paseo Marítimo, Sabinillas.
Every Sunday from 7 pm.
Organised by C.I.M in collaboration with Culture Department.

16th July

18th to 20th July
Theatre Week
Theatrical works for both children and adults performed by the Municipal Theatre School and the handicapped association “Luisana”.
Friday, 18th: ” Piropos” and ” Sangre Gorda”, by the brothers Álvarez Quintero and “La foto”, by Ana Santos.
Saturday, 19th: “Palabras”. Children’s theatre written and directed by Ana Santos. “Rima, rimando y el tesoro buscando”, by the Estable Teatro group.
Sunday, 20th: “Caricatos y Toreras”, by the Unas Teatro company, directed by Inés Gandiaga. Plus magic spectacular “Ilusionados”, by the “Ludus” company.

22nd of July to 3rd August
Exhibition of painting by local artists, put together by the CIM (Manilva Initiative Centre), an association created to promote art and culture in Manilva.

Verbena de Santa Ana
Manilva celebrates its patron saint with a day of festivities.
