Manilva’s Councillor for Sports, Mario Jiménez, has met with the organisers of the I Vendimia Mountain Bike Marathon to ensure that everything is in place to ensure the success of the race that will be held on September 13, 2014.
This first mountain bike marathon, which has been organised by the Sports Department in conjunction with Manilva’s Cycling Club, is the result of months of planning which will see a large field of competitors battle it out on the 64 km course with a descent of some 1500 metres, which takes in many of the municipality’s tracks and trails and which is appropriate to cyclists of all levels of ability.
According to Councillor Jiménez “the sport of cycling is becoming very popular in Manilva, and this competition provides an opportunity for cyclists to compete in their favourite sport”.
