Fuengirola’s Sohail Castle has once again been the venue for the 8th Grand Beer Festival.
This fun beer festival (Oktoberfest Olé) has been open to the public since July 3 and continues until Sunday July 19.
This is a must visit for beer lovers as you’ll be able to sample the finest Bavarian beers and tasty dishes including german sausages, etc. All this accompanied by live music from a true German orchestra! They even have a special kids area with organised activities to keep the youngsters occupied.
A special feature this year will be the new VIP area offering a more personalised service and located away from the hustle and bustle of the main festival. The line up is simply spectacular, starring The Nairobi Chamber Chorus (NCC), Pippa Dames-Longworth – international Opera singer –, The Bridge Quartet from London performing with members of Malaga’s Symphonic Orchestra, Salvador Andrade’s flamenco group and our school’s finest soloists and musicians.
The headline act will be the Nairobi Chamber Chorus, the leading choral group in Kenya today. Its vision is a strong, well-trained musical community, which can use music to promote peace and cross-cultural understanding through quality performance of choral music. NCC, as seen representing Kenya at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Windsor Castle, have travelled extensively in East Africa, the United States of America, and have performed with world-renowned musical companies.
A truly recommended concert for all ages with performers that are bound to send the audience asking for more!

Benalmádena’s Municipal Auditorium is the venue for this year’s summer cycle of concerts under the banner Benalmádena Suena.
Kicking off on Sunday 12 July with ’60s Spanish pop/rock group Los Brincos and finishing on Friday 28 August with the Flamenco singer El Cabrero the programme features something for everyone with one of the highlights being ska legends The Skatalites on Monday 3 August.

Spain’s Cruz Roja (Red Cross) is currently running their annual Golden Lottery, known as the most charitable lottery in the world, and there are some amazing prizes to be won. Marbella’s Starlite Festival kicks off this years season of performances with a concert by Lenny Kravitz on July 22. This opens a season of concerts running through to the final concert by pop opera star Andrea Bocelli.
Now in its fourth year the Starlite Festival goes from strength to strength with a host of parallel activities as well as the concerts all of which in the purpose built Starlite Village in the Cantera de Nagüeles, in Marbella.

After the success of previous editions of Arte Sano, the organisers are planning another festival on the beautiful sea front in San Pedro Alcantara for 25 and 26 July, 2015, from 11 am to midnight. “We had a very successful event there last year for an excellent weekend full of activities and music,” say the organisation. “This year we will be bringing the colourful world of alternative Andalucía to life for another weekend for all the family.” A diverse mix of classes, workshops and talks on subjects ranging from personal development to natural health, spirituality and the environment are on offer and all for free.
The ‘Peace tent’ will host many of these talks, as well as the classes in the open air in the gardens and activities on the beach. children are always an important part of the event and this year they will be well catered for in their own dedicated area with theatre, games and crafts, while the grown ups can enjoy concerts by some of the coast’s favourite artists, with some familiar faces from last year.
A market extends along the sea front full of artisans, natural products, therapists, art and healthy food for the visitors to enjoy. Apart from the main stage, the event includes a special salsa space, dance and movement stage and an area for sustainable technology where visitors can see how solar ovens, ram pumps and dehydrators work. The stage is set for a fantastic weekend in July 2015 on the San Pedro sea front.
80s new romantics Spandau Ballet will be performing at the Puente Romano Tennis Club in Marbella on Friday 21 August, as part of the Spanish leg of their world tour.
The band fronted by singer Tony Hadley, who played at the Gibraltar Music Festival last year, and the Kemp brothers had a string of hits during the 1980s with tracks such as True, Gold, Through The Barricades, etc., reformed back in 2009 after many years of legal wranglings over royalties and are currently in the middle of a world tour.
