Works have finally begun on the redevelopment works in Calle Isaac Peral, known locally as ‘Bank Row’ after three year’s delay.
Originally planned in 2010 the works were to be joint financed by the Manilva Town Hall and Malaga Provincial Government but due to administative issues the works were delayed.
Finally after dozens of meetings between the local and provincial authorities the funding has been released and the works awarded to local company AMC Metal Manilva, S.L who submitted the best of three bids for the project which has a total budget of just under 105,000 euros.
The works will include renewal of the underground services including the storm water network which always floods during heavy rains. The road and pavement will be resurfaced and areas for planting created.
