The Councillor responsible for Manilva’s Infrastructure and Public Works department, Mario Jiménez, recently met with representatives from the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol Occidental, to discuss a number of infrastructure projects proposed for the local municipality.

Included in these are: The Casa de los Torres - a cultural centre in Manilva Town which will have a 200 seat auditorium, 15 classrooms, and 2 exhibition rooms, which will provide a home for many of Manilva’s clubs and associations.

Another project involves the upgrading of a number of rural roads to provide better access to the many homes and farms in the campo currently experiencing difficulties.

There is also a major project to improve Calle Virgen de África and its surrounding area in Sabinillas.
