A great start for the New Manilva Networking Group


On 17th September the newest business networking group on the Costa del Sol was launched in Manilva with a successful networking meeting. The Shaw Marketing Services and Costa Women event gathered together over 40 business women, representing a wide variety of sectors including marketing, legal, insurance, real estate, healthcare and beauty. They exchanged cards, were led through networking activities by marketing professional Georgina Shaw, and started to form positive business contacts which will help them to develop professionally over the coming months.

Valentina Radu, Area Coordinator for Town Planning, Statistics and Foreign Residents in Manilva attended the event and provided the venue to demonstrate the Town Hall’s commitment to supporting businesses in the province. She commented “For me and the Town Hall, the continuity of this event in our agenda of activities and its success is very important, as we always try and support the local business community with our collaboration. When Georgina first told me about her idea I thought it was a brilliant way for business women in Manilva to interact. Actually the first time I met Georgina was at a networking lunch and I know she is a great entrepreneur and can bring together various businesses in a networking group and also promote Manilva so that business women from other towns can also participate. Both the town hall and myself will continue to support this group and initiative and we invite everyone interested to join us!”

Ali Meehan, Founder of the Costa Women social community was also present and added; “We are delighted to be collaborating with Georgina and Shaw Marketing Services to provide more opportunities for Women in business to make new contacts.  At Costa Women, we embrace any opportunity for businesses to stretch out their hands, ask “how can I help you?” and start an interaction of connecting and sharing.”

This monthly networking event will offer women in the local business community a friendly and open environment to build their network, find suppliers and make new contacts and will be held at Villa Matilde in Sabinillas on the third Wednesday of each month between 18.30 and 20.00.
